“LIONESS” – THERE FOR THE ACTION – MISSING FROM HISTORY

Filed under: Uncategorized — Steven Carr @ 9:25 am

Dear Staff/Faculty Member:

You and your students are invited to the Fort Wayne premiere of “Lioness,” a documentary film by Meg McLagan and Daria Sommers. The film profiles a group of women soldiers who were sent to Iraq in supporting roles, but were soon drawn into combat during counterinsurgency battles. Known as Team Lioness, they were the first generation of American women to return home as combat veterans.

The program will be followed by a question-and-answer session.

Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011

Room 159, Liberal Arts Building

Sponsored by the: Office of the Military Student Services Coordinator, the Center for Women and Returning Adults, and IPFW Women’s Studies.
